About the
Artist
Fei Lu is a graduate of Art Center College
of Design in
Pasadena, California. Born in Beijing, growing up in Toronto
and living in Los Angeles has made her fall in love with an international
lifestyle. Fei Lu comes from a family of artists. Her grandfather,
Enyi Lu, a famous propaganda artist during the Chinese Communist
revolution, was elected to paint the portraits of Chairman
Mao Zedong and the rest of his policital party. Jia Lu, her aunt, is
an internationally-collected contemporary figurative painter.
Besides
being a designer and painter, Fei is an activist for human and
animal rights. She is an obsessive recycler and uselessly stresses
about the fate
of the Earth. She
is inspired by great design, smart advertising, interesting
people, truth, films, music, and nature. She loves to travel, try
new foods, and
sleep in on Saturday mornings. She
currently lives in Markham, Ontario.
